KOGA E-WorldTraveller

Based on the WorldTraveller KOGA now also offers an electric trekking bike. Logically enought, they call it the E-WorldTraveller! With the rigid and stable aluminum frame and the many solid parts, the KOGA E-WorldTraveller is designed to take a lot of luggage. The load is easy to handle with the Bosch Performance CX mid-engine that uses its energy from a 500Wh Li-Ion battery on the down tube.

In theory, you can travel around the world, as long as there are enough power points on the route, of course.

The KOGA E-WorldTraveller has 28 ” wheels with extra solid Schwalbe Marathon tyres with a width of 50mm: these wide tyres have a sturdy anti-puncture layer and can take a beating. The large width gives this trekking bike a wide range of applications, asphalt, forest trails, gravel roads, (almost) everything is possible! In addition, the Marathons roll wonderfully and are comfortable, which means that the WorldTraveller does not need a suspension fork, the tyres do the sprung work.

Bosch Performance CX mid-engine

The Bosch Performance Line CX mid-engine offers a powerful support with a maximum torque of 75 Nm. So you have wind when you want and climbing becomes noticeably lighter.

The Bosch engine is coupled to 10 derailleur gears. That may not seem like much, but thanks to the support you can still reach many mountains. The motor is protected against overheating during long climbs. And you? Drink a lot! At the front fork there are notches for two extra drinking bottles!

Stable trekking frame

For a predictable and safe steering behaviour with luggage, the aluminum frame is very rigid and stable.

The ladies version of the E-WorldTraveller has a so-called ‘mixed’ frame. KOGA has consciously opted for this, because the higher the top tube connects to the seat tube, the stiffer and more stable the frame becomes. In addition, this frame shape offers space to mount the battery on the down tube, which is good for the central centre of gravity.

The battery takes the place of a water bottle so KOGA has made additional mounting points for bottle cages on the front fork – you don’t want to go thirsty!

Hydraulic Magura disc brakes

Long runs, heavy luggage and changing weather conditions require good brakes. That is why the E-WorldTraveller is equipped with Magura MT-2 hydraulic disc brakes with 160 mm large discs.

These brakes can get rid of their heat and with little manual power you can quickly speed up if necessary. The brake levers are adjustable for large and small hands.
